Layered Easter Picture Craft

Make your Easter program even more special this year with a fun and colorful craft that the kids will love! They’ll get to create a beautiful illustration of the cross on Calvary, using their creativity and following an easy-to-follow diagram.

To start, kids will layer and glue various shaped paper pieces onto a background, then finish it off with a heart-shaped layer that represents Christ’s incredible love for us by giving His life on the cross. To add a sweet touch, they’ll also frame their artwork with a paper border featuring a Bible verse from John 11:25-26. Plus, this craft is available in KJV and NIV, so you can choose what’s best for your group!

A little prep work is needed to get ready for this fun activity—spending some time printing patterns on colorful paper and cutting them out. You’ll need some colorful paper, scissors, and paper glue to bring this project to life. Let’s get crafting and make this Easter memorable!
