Bring Acts 10 to life with this engaging Bible lesson about Peter’s vision and his visit to Cornelius! Children will explore the unusual vision of the sheet filled with animals, discover why Peter was so surprised, and learn the important truth God was teaching him: the good news about Jesus is for everyone.
This lesson helps children understand that God does not value one person more because of nationality, race, wealth, or background. It also clearly teaches that sin is the real problem for every person and that Jesus came to die for the sins of both Jews and Gentiles so that anyone who believes in Him can be forgiven. The lesson can easily be adapted for children in 2nd through 5th grade.

1. Peter’s Vision Activity Sheet
Children color, cut, and paste animal pictures onto an activity sheet with a Bible verse from Acts 10. The activity sheet shows Peter up on a roof when God sent him an important vision about how he should treat people and what he should eat. The Bible verse from Acts 10:15b is written at the top of the activity sheet: “What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.”
2. Peter Meets Cornelius and Shares What He Has Learned
This activity sheet features Peter speaking to Cornelius and reinforces the important lesson that “God does not show favoritism.” Children look up the Bible verse in their Bible and write what Peter told Cornelius in Acts 10:34: “ Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:”
3. Which One Is Missing? Game – Peter’s Vision Review Game
Here’s a fun, meaningful way to teach Acts 10 and help children remember that Jesus came for people from every nation. Children test their memory and observation skills by trying to guess which animal picture is missing.
Use this fun, interactive game to review the Bible lesson. Adapt it for any age by removing some of the pictures for younger children, using all of them for older children, and mixing up the images after each play. If you have a large group, make more than one set and divide the children up into groups.
“Peter Thought, God Taught” Bible Review Game
This is a great interactive activity for older students. The teacher reads a statement, and children decide whether Peter thought this before he learned it from God’s vision, or after he learned it from the vision. Then the students place the statement cards in the column they think is correct. The other students discuss whether his placement is correct.
Also included are printable Bible verse cards with the Bible verse from Acts 10:34-35: “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.”
