Make learning fun with this amazing snow globe learning activity. Use it to spark imagination and engage your students in fun, winter-themed writing activities.

Creating the snow globe simply requirers gluing or stapling two clear plates together, face to face, after filling one with snowflake sequins, confetti, punched snowflakes and dots, and the words and pictures you want to use.
In class, encourage your students to shake and turn their globes, challenging them to uncover as many words and images as they can. Have them jot down their findings on a sheet of paper and then use their imaginations to write a short story inspired by the words they’ve found.
Alternatively, have your students make their own snow globes using the directions above, and encourage them to write words relating to snow or winter and place them in their snow globes. You can also have them write a short sentence about snow, cut the words apart, and place them in the snow globe. Once they are finished, they can have their classmates try to find the words and put them together to figure out the sentence.

This download also includes a matching search and find activity sheet which you can use in the same way. Have your students search for the 25 words and corresponding images and then write a short story using the words they have found.
