Otter Paper Bag Puppets

What Do Otters Eat? Sea Otter Puppet Craft and Learning Activity

Make learning about sea otters more engaging with this hands-on craft and science activity! Children make a mother-and-baby sea otter paper bag puppet, then use the included printable food pictures to learn about and review what sea otters eat.

After completing the puppets, children can “feed” the otters, search for hidden food pictures, identify each food item, and use the puppets for pretend play or story retelling. This makes the activity especially useful for younger children who learn best through hands-on play.

This printable activity is a fun addition to ocean animal studies, sea otter lessons, marine life units, homeschool science, or classroom learning centers.

Includes:

  • Mother sea otter paper bag puppet pattern
  • Baby sea otter paper bag puppet pattern
  • Printable sea otter food pictures
  • Paper eye patterns
  • Activity ideas for using the puppets and food pieces

All the patterns, games, and lessons in this store come from Danielle’s Place and are available through a yearly membership on The Resource Room.
